Though not the tallest around, the Fae look like normal people. They are thin and nimble with great grace and their footsteps barely make a sound. Their voices are sweet and smooth so naturally they would have a great singing voice. They have a great love of music and nature. Their skin is usually pale and their hair is mostly long. Their eyes can vary from forest green to sapphire blue to dirt brown, any shade to do with nature. Yet their eyes have something extra: the ability to change shades with their moods. Beyond that, girls usually like dresses so that could be their style. Their auras are usually green to signify healing or at least violet or silver. These are just basics, since looks vary on what type of Fae they are.
The Fae genetics spread far beyond appearances; they also have some common personality traits. The first is quite obvious: all Fae have a great love of nature. The whole life of a Fae is in nature, for this is what their blood is from. Poetry and music are also common traits for Fae for most have a great literary sense and can be quite avid readers. All have wisdom and have immediate knowledge when something major happens in their own world. They are usually ones to give advice to other supernatural beings for their clear visions. As well, all Fae have at least one great love of a particular subject, such as Night, love, flowers, or anything they have interest in. This, of course, stems to say that there are different types of Fae besides just what subject they are into, as I will explain below.
Usually when someone thinks of a Fairy, they immediatley picture a small being flying around sprinkling their pixie dust on flowers and granting the wishes of happiness to all. I am sorry to tell you you are dead wrong. The Fae look like regular beings on the outside, but they are different from normal Mortals. They know the past, can gain easy access to the Astral Plane, and even can have a place within their own Courts. I hope this page covers all you wish to know, and if not, I am buiding a site for this very topic. Have a good day!
~Midnightrose, Ancient Fae of Night
There are different Fae types so to tell more about what and who they are. There are three types which is classified in their blood: Ancient Blood, Common Blood, and Modern Blood. Ancient Blood is complex but basically, an Ancient Blood Faes soul has been around since ancient times, since the beginning of time. A couple Fae in this group are Faded, which is explained on my War of 2012 page. The Common Blood Faes are those whose soul was born quite awhile ago but is still not as old as the Ancients. The Modern Blood Faes are the new string of Faes who have made themselves Fae, so they have no particular gene. Yet though they somehow are born with this trait, they are common Fae and they are the only ones who have found a way to make themselves Fae. There is no working spell to become a Fae, you must either have the gene or have been born a Modern Fae. The last two types of Fae can simply be further classified in their Court while I shall explain the Ancient Blood Fae below.
As vaguely explained above, the Ancient Fae have souls that have been here since basically the beginning of time. Because of this, some of these Fae are Faded, which is described on the War of 2012 page. This type of Fae is usually looked up to for advice and knowledge from the younger generations and originally started the Fae Courts which will be explained below. Very few Ancient Fae exist now today, due to varying causes. One cause would be that the soul containing the Fae blood might reach Enlightenment, which happened to many of those souls when the Common Fae were founded. The second would be that the gene would die out. The third being that the gene would become recessive or unawakened. So this all results in very few of these original Fae still being around today and Awakened.
Fae Courts are the very last step for a Fae classification. Fae Courts are located in the Astral Plane so you need to be at ease and well known in the Astral Plane to join a Court. There are many different courts open for different topics. So a Night Fae might go to the Night Court and land a position like Queen or Steward even. When you join a Fae Court, you get a position based off of how much you love that particular topic. So a Fae who loves chameleons might therefore be the Fae Chameleon Queen while her Steward might not find that much joy in the small reptile. Your position just depends on who you are in this world. Of course, here a Queen never really needs a King, though it will make your survival on the Throne all the better. One can easily lose his or her position due to the ever changing status in ones Court and a new Fae will be set upon the Throne. This only proves you need to be on top of your Court and take care of all its needs. If you are Fae and something else like Eylve and that other gene is more dominant, you can only have one Court. Yea, all of the full blooded Fae can have more than one Court as long as you keep that gene dominant. So basically, a Fae Court is a medieval styled Court for the Fae on their different topics.
All three types of Fae can go on to Classification, which is where the Fae determines what topic they are most into and which Court they belong to. This classification can effect their looks, like a Night Fae might have black or silver hair. This Classification can be any topic: Night, love, earth, the sky, or even a specific animal. This goes onto the Courts which I will finally now explain.
